Job Purpose
Coordinate the day-to-day supply of products from assigned third-party manufacturers and finished goods suppliers. Translate supply requirements into operational plans and purchase orders, monitor deliveries and communicate supply risks to support product availability and appropriate inventory levels.
Combine operational planning with data analysis, reporting and practical improvement projects. Develop planning expertise through hands-on experience, with guidance from the manager and experienced colleagues and a gradual increase in responsibility.

Role Focus and Development
The initial target allocation is approximately 70% operational planning and supplier coordination and 30% analysis, reporting and continuous improvement. Dedicated time and a manageable supplier portfolio will support delivery of both parts of the role. The balance may develop towards 50/50 as experience grows and the operational workload allows, in agreement with the manager.

How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)
Key Responsibilities:
Operational planning and supplier coordination
1.    Supply planning and MRP. Review demand, inventory, lead times and supplier constraints in SAP and OMP. Prepare and maintain operational supply plans for the assigned portfolio within agreed sourcing arrangements. Identify shortages, excess stock and planning exceptions, and propose actions.
2.    Orders and supplier follow-up. Create and maintain purchase orders and production requirements within agreed processes. Obtain confirmations, monitor quantities and delivery dates, and coordinate changes with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Escalate constraints requiring decisions beyond the role’s authority.
3.    Inbound deliveries. Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and Warehouse, taking account of receiving capacity and material requirements. Follow up on late or incomplete deliveries and agree recovery actions with relevant teams.
4.    Operational issue resolution. Coordinate supplier communication and follow-up on quality cases, with Quality retaining responsibility for technical assessment and release decisions. Investigate goods receipt and invoice discrepancies with Warehouse, Procurement and Finance. Commercial terms and contracts remain with Procurement.
5.    Availability and communication. Keep relevant teams informed of product availability, supply risks and changes to expected deliveries. Work with Customer Service, Procurement, Quality, Warehouse and other planning teams to resolve issues and maintain an aligned operational plan.

 Analysis reporting and continuous improvement
1.    Analysis and insights. Analyze inventory, shortages, supplier delivery performance and recurring planning exceptions. Explain the main causes and recommend practical actions to improve service, inventory and planning reliability.
2.    Reporting. Maintain accurate operational reports and KPIs. Highlight trends, risks and actions rather than only distributing data. Help simplify or automate recurring reports using Excel and, where applicable, Power BI or other available tools.
3.    Improvement projects. Support and progressively lead clearly scoped projects agreed with the manager, such as reducing manual order follow-up, standardizing supplier confirmations or improving planning workflows. Document changes and evaluate their effect.
4.    Systems and master data. Check planning inputs such as lead times, order quantities and sourcing parameters. Maintain data within assigned access and responsibilities, and coordinate other corrections with the relevant owners. Support testing and adoption of improvements in SAP, OMP and related tools.

Key Deliverables:
•    Current supply plans and purchase orders, with timely supplier confirmations and follow-up.
•    Clear visibility of product availability, delivery changes, shortages and excess inventory risks.
•    Accurate reports with actionable analysis of supplier performance and planning exceptions.
•    Reliable planning data, with identified errors corrected or referred to the appropriate owner.
•    Completed improvement actions and projects with documented outcomes, reviewed with the manager.

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)
•    HBO / bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
•    Typically 0–2 years of relevant experience. Recent graduates are welcome; relevant internships and graduation projects are valued.
•    Basic understanding of supply chain planning, inventory management and purchasing processes, gained through education or practical experience.
•    Good Excel skills and confidence working with data. Interest in developing reporting and automation skills; Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
•    SAP, OMP or other ERP / planning system experience is an advantage, rather than a requirement. Training and guidance will be provided.
•    Analytical and practical approach: able to investigate issues, work accurately and translate findings into clear actions.
•    Strong organization and communication skills, a willingness to learn and the confidence to ask questions and raise risks early.
•    Fluent English, written and spoken, for communication with international suppliers and colleagues.

Competencies Desired

•    Planning & prioritization
•    Ownership & accountability
•    Analytical thinking & problem solving
•    Process improvement & continuous improvement mindset
•    Data accuracy & attention to detail
•    Supplier management & stakeholder collaboration
•    Structured working & process discipline
