Job Overview
Summarize the job’s overall purpose. (Provide a brief, 4-sentence description of the role, and how it fits into the organization overall) Leads the Production Planning team to ensure efficient scheduling, optimal capacity utilization and on-time delivery. Translates the business demand into feasible production plans. Continuously improves planning processes through data-driven analysis and cross-functional alignment with the internal- and external stakeholders.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Coordination
- Leads, supports and develops the Production Planning team
- Distributes tasks and sets priorities within the team
- Act as backup for planners when required to ensure continuity of operations.
- Ensures correct use of planning systems and procedures
2. Ensures availability of production schedules and needed materials for production continuity. Taking in account the capacities and the timely planning of raw materials and packaging. Maintains contact with the suppliers
3. Continuous improvement (CI) in all the planning processes
4. Participate in projects (NSD, new customer introduction, operations improvement, etc.)
Preferences and Minimum Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Work Experience
Managerial experience > 3 years
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
-Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
-Good communication skills in Dutch and English
-Experience with ERP systems (SAP is a plus)
-Coaching leadership
-Ownership

-Proficient with PowerBI
- Experience with Advanced Planning systems (OMP is a plus)
- APICS CPIM
