Careers for the Driven

Lead Global Trade EU Regulatory areas for Valvoline businesses. Coordinate regulatory projects in EMEA Region including preparing and managing Foreign Trade Agreements (FTA) Certifications, HS Classifications and import/export licenses. This roles handles customer requests and support the business regulatory needs. Reviews and approves products to ensure they are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.Acts as primary representative on REACH and ADR. Represents company with industry associations and government agencies as appropriate.

 

Role & Responsibilities...

  • Manages and participates in Global Trade Management projects and communication with internal and external parties
  • Manages Foreign Trade Agreements and compliance projects for Europe, Middle East,and Africa. Enters reguired product data into required internal and external systems
  • Monitors regulations and regulatory trends for performance to assess impact on Valvoline operations and products
  • Provides regulatory advice and strategy on Global Trade matters. Represents Valvoline with various government agencies and external parties. Submits necessary reports and permits to Government Agencies.
  • Provides insight to business on global trade requirements to meet regulatory agency requirements. Reviews labels and products for accuracy and compliance.
  • Reviews and generates necessary documentation for efficient compliant import and export of Valvoline products. Provides necessary training to various departments to improve knowledge of Global Trade.
  • Performs periodic audits of internal and external business partners to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. Develops corrective action plans, when needed.
  • Manages and monitors the (EU) REACH regulation requirements including registrations if needed. Co-operate with external consultants and government bodies to ensure compliance.
  • Acts as the Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor: provides regulatory advice, ensures compliance, performs audits, represent Valvoline with various government agencies and external bodies.

 

What Sets You Apart....

  • Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree required, International Business preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Global Trade related field in a multi-national company. Knowledge of Import and Export requirements in EMEA.
  • Customs Brokers License or other trade certification preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office: SAP experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with lubricants and car care products.
  • Must have high sense of integrity and responsibility.
  • Ability to travel domestically and possibly international.
  • Knowledgeable of Government agency requirements in EMEA.
  • Dutch and English Languages Preferred.
