The Production Supervisor will plan and oversee production activities after hours.  This will include supervising personnel on production lines and coordinating activities with blending and maintenance.  The Production Supervisor will have the responsibility of ensuring safety, quality, and productivity between Packaging Technicians, Maintenance Personnel, and Quality personnel during nighttime hours.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Facilitate and coordinate packaging schedules to support multiple production lines. 

  • Supervise production activities to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed all established production and quality standards while effectively and efficiently utilizing available manpower/staffing. 

  • Ensure weekly production schedules are met.

  • Participate in EH&S compliance and best practices by coordinating safety walks, direct interaction and Gembas with your team of hourly employees, using the incident management system to record opportunities while driving measurable improvements, and leading shift safety action teams at the location. 

  • Direct all related personnel actions, including final selection, training/coaching, performance appraisal, and discipline.  Investigates and resolves employee issues.

  • Track employee attendance, time card activities, and V-Learn (electronic safety training). 

  • Assist maintenance team in issuance of permit to contractors, coordinate contractor activities after hours.

  • Drive continuous improvement through 5S programs, lean manufacturing techniques, and/or other programs.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline Global Operations from time to time in its sole discretion.

 

What You’ll Need

  • 4-year degree preferable in production or supply chain operation

  • 3-5 years experience as a supervisor in a production environment - high speed packaging experience preferred

  • Detail oriented, multitasking, leadership of direct reports, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen’s, drive towards continuation improvement.

  • Ability to work on a night Pitman schedule

  • Required movement throughout the plant during 12-hour shifts.   Ability to lift 40lbs

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
