How You'll Make An Impact

 

This role is responsible for blending base oils and additives using proprietary computer-based blending systems to produce high-quality motor oil. The Blender ensures that blending operations are performed accurately, safely, and in alignment with production schedules and quality standards. The position requires precision, adherence to safety protocols, and effective coordination with other plant operations. 

 

Responsibilities Include

 

  • Operate computerized blending systems to meter base oils and add the correct additives to blend motor oil according to formulation specifications.
  • Use SAP and proprietary software to track production batches, inventory movement, and quality checks.
  • Connect and disconnect chemical hoses, operate valves, and manage multiple tank systems including drum decanting and bulk tank wagon loading.
  • Operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods; perform receiving and put-away activities as needed.
  • Make minor machinery adjustments and troubleshoot blending system issues to maintain smooth operations.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts of blending materials and additives.
  • Perform routine quality checks throughout each shift to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; follow safety procedures including use of fall protection and personal protective equipment.
  • Effectively multitask in a dynamic environment with variable temperature conditions (hot/cold), oily surfaces, and noise.

 

What You'll Need

  • Strong math and computer skills, including familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in following blend instructions and safety protocols.
  • Experience operating forklifts and handling industrial equipment.
  • Physical ability to work in environments with exposure to heat, cold, oil, and chemicals.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks and maintain workspace cleanliness.
