As a Co-op at Valvoline the individual will primarily work in Valvoline’s Cincinnati Manufacturing Plant. The individual will share responsibilities with Plant Engineering, EH&S, and Operations. Project work will include working on Valvoline’s implementation of newest software’s, working on developing and implementing continuous improvement projects, small capital projects/management, and data analytics to help justify resource allocations. . Training will be on the job training (OJT) as required.

*This is a 12 week on-site internship from May-August at our plant in Cincinnati, OH*

Responsibilities Include

• Participate and lead process and safety improvement projects focused in a production and packaging environment. This will include sourcing the project, collecting data/information, engineering design, sourcing solutions, and implementation (including MOC's & worker engagement). 
• Support global operations and the COE in software evaluation, design and implementation that will provide the manufacturing supply chain improvements in worker connectivity, data analytics, EHS/Quality/Productivity performance and support the Supply Chain 4.0 initiative.
• Delivering project’s results and presentation to stakeholders and upper management.

What You’ll Need

• A detail-oriented mindset with a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking
• A foundation in process engineering skills.  Project management/leadership and cross functional process development. •
• Lean Six Sigma, or Toyota production system knowledge. 
• Experience working in data analytics and data visualization 
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
