Valvoline Global Operations has an office location in Guadalajara. We are open to candidates working remotely in nearby cities such as Mexico City or Monterrey.
How You’ll Make an Impact
The Business Analyst (for LATAM) is responsible for supporting all business activities as needed by the sales and marketing teams. Includes providing analytical support and understanding of customer segmentations, market dynamics, performance trends, and financial impacts of performance and initiatives (special pricing, rebates, promotions, etc). Responds to business questions from the sales/marketing teams. Maintains and updates reporting tools and dashboards, and participates in special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities Include
- Perform data analysis to understand business performance, channel & market trends, sell-out dynamics, and competitive positioning.
- Translate data into visualizations and actionable insights that aid in decision-making and provide recommendations to sales teams and senior management on actions/strategies that align with business objectives.
- Regularly update and publish these business analytics reports and share insights for relevant teams.
- Support preparation for and take part in periodic (monthly/quarterly) business reviews with Sales and Marketing.
- Initiates Master Data creation of all new customers (sold-to/ship-to) as well as any customer master changes as requested by the region.
- Sharing confirmation of creation/updates to relevant teams and updating all affected reporting as needed
What You’ll Need
- BS in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, or in marketing/finance, preferably in a distributed services organization.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- High proficiency in MS Office, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with an ability to efficiently communicate financial and other business results to both financially and non-financially oriented persons.
- Initiative; originate productive actions without specific instructions; generate new ideas, processes, and approaches to meet business needs.
- Ability to be a change agent in instituting best practices to drive operational performance and effectiveness across the group. Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Attention to detail with an ability to organize data effectively.
- Experience working with SalesForce and SQL is a plus.
Functional knowledge of financial reporting systems and methodologies for reporting using business intelligence tools are a plus. - Analytical skills to conduct basic research, analyze data, and prepare recommendations. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be proficient in both spoken and written Spanish and English
