The Brand Manager – HD will assist in delivering sustained growth for Valvoline’s Mexico business; and set the business up for future success by supporting brand management's goals for each of the brands within the heavy duty portfolio. Key responsibilities include delivering on projects and initiatives that drive share and volume projections to deliver annual plan, brand planning, financials and business performance, packaging, and consumer promotions. Must be skilled at partnering cross-functionally with sales to drive high impact programs that deliver forecast.
How You’ll Make an Impact

Strategic Planning – Lead development of HD strategic plan to get best overall performance from portfolio based on category trends, competitive activity and distributor objectives. Must balance maintaining high volume declining segments with smaller opportunity growth segments in determining the ideal areas of focus to win in both the short and long term.

Product / Portfolio Strategy - Partner and represent LATAM HD product strategy needs with Product Strategy & Management team in developing packaging, labels and formulations to deliver consumer and customer needs for various HD channels.

Sales Account Marketing - Partner to support sales for any strategic marketing issues; including building sales presentations, customer portfolio reviews and top-to-top content.

New Product Launch – Drive new product development process with sales and equity teams for any new HD product launch executions and monitor the performance in market.

Brand Performance – Drive performance of brands within portfolio and deliver forecasted volumes and gross profit. Understand drivers of over/underperformance (with input from analytics group) and develop action plans to address as needed. Work with trade marketing to maximize ROI of trade budget, including executing pilots of new tactics as required.

P&L Management – Manage P&L for specific brands in portfolio. Has accountability for understanding and aligning to brand level forecasts, retail level forecasts provided by sales for those brands, product cost inputs from Global Products, and pricing.

Event Execution – Identify and support regional tradeshows and VESF events execution with Cummins and Sales

Build Organizational Capability - Grow the capability of the organization by improving processes and approaches, and building organization knowledge in marketing.

What You’ll Need

Bi-Lingual capabilities in English/Spanish

This role is remote, but needs to be based out of Mexico City OR Guadalajara

Education Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree required, Marketing or Mass Communications, Administration, Public Relationships, International Commerce
Experience Required:
-
2+ years of marketing & strategy experience preferred in an agency or company background.

Experience using Microsoft office and marketing tools or programs.
-
Experience managing external partners without oversight.
-
Proven results managing and building a HD plan following across a variety of channels and using platforms execution.

Experience analyzing and presenting reports and actionable data to external partners and internal senior executives.
