Job Overview

Regional Account Manager for the Adriatic region will play a critical role in driving VGO commercial growth and market leadership. Primary responsibility is to build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve ambitious short- and long-term goals. RAM Adriatic will lead the development of our distributor network, establishing and developing partnerships with both WD’s and TD’s.
By managing a multi-channel strategy and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders inside of VGO organization, you will ensure the successful execution of our European OGSM strategy across the Adriatic markets

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Recruit, develop, and lead the Adriatic sales team towards a culture of excellence which share VGO values
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews (trimester), and weekly 1:1 meeting to support further growth
  • Identify individual team members strengths and skill gaps, creating tailored development plans
  • Build a robust succession plan by actively mentoring and preparing a successor for your role
  • Generate and analyze monthly performance reports for each team member

Driving Commercial Growth & Distribution Management

  • Own and deliver on key performance metrics (Volume, Gross Profit) for all assigned territories
  • Execute the core European strategy by recruiting, onboarding, and managing a strong network of WD’s, Traditional Distributors as well as direct market in Serbia with Key Accounts.
  • Act as a VGO ambassador, building deep customer trust through expert product knowledge and added value selling.
  • Results-driven mindset within the team and broader business unit.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Translate and implement the Valvoline European strategy into actionable Adriatic-level plans aligned with the OGSM framework.
  • Conduct continuous market intelligence to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and strategic gaps.
  • Collaborate with the team to build and manage a robust sales pipeline for sustainable growth.
  • Proactively identify and resolve obstacles that block strategic progress.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

  • Design and implement region-specific sales and trade marketing initiatives, sharing successes as best practices.
  • Provide actionable market, customer and competitor insights to the Marketing team to guide strategy.
  • Partner with the Legal department to ensure contracts are clear, compliant, and mutually beneficial
  • Work closely with Supply Chain & Planning to improve forecast accuracy (>80%), optimize product availability, and enhance service levels for partners. 

Administrative & General Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company health, safety, and operational policies and procedures
  • Maintain high standards of work discipline and professional conduct
  • Perform additional duties as required by business needs and as directed by management

 

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)

Education: Bachelor 

Work Experience: Preferred to work in auto industry. Most important is to have right attitude, aptitude, character and energy

Licenses and Certifications :Driving license

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

Proven ability to work with people, to build leadership, to create strong team and to work in people performance capability. Should enhance sales results in both direct and indirect B2B channels. Ability to translate technical requirements into business opportunities. Demonstrated capability in developing close relationships with customers, fostering productive working relationships at all levels, externally and internally. Excellent time management and project management skills. Computer literate, proficient in using software and hardware as a field worker. Besides Serbian, good knowledge of English is desirable, and familiarity with other European languages is considered an advantage. Proven ability to act as a team player, building productive internal and external relationships at all levels within the organization. Outstanding and effective communication skills, adept at communicating with diverse client groups (from production line workers to CEOs and managers). Organized, stable, independent, and self-sufficient. Takes initiative and can successfully handle multiple tasks with minimal direct supervision. Flexible, proactive, and positive
