Job Purpose

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Product/Brand Manager to join our team in Baulkham Hills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for marketing and a desire to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

 

In this role, you will assist in the development and execution of marketing objectives, strategies and tactics within budget for the Automotive (Retail and Automotive Trade) Channel in accordance with company goals and the strategic objectives.

 

How You Make An Impact (Job Accountabilities)

 

1. Product Portfolio Management Support: Support the Senior Product Manager to drive new product development, product updates and deletion of products (product lifecycle management of Automotive portfolio).

2. Market, Research, Needs & Drivers: Support market research projects of the Automotive channel to understand the needs and drivers of the market and provide recommendations.

3. Advertising & Promotions: Support the Senior Product Manager to in driving the development and implementation of advertising and promotions and analyse the effectiveness against targets & objectives to provides learnings and recommendations for future activities. 

4. Channel Planning & Marketing Alignment To Business Priorities: Support the Senior Product Manager to drive the development and implementation of the Automotive channel planning and marketing alignment to business priorities. 

5. Internal & External Communication & Engagement: Communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders via email, video call and F2F communication methods to ensure all relevant stakeholders understand communications plans and engage with marketing programs.

6. Customer Marketing Support: Provide customer centric marketing support aligned with account profitability. 

7. Ensures that the company complies with Australian Consumer Law.

8. Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

 

 

Primary Interactions - Internal And External

 

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.

• Works with the Senior Product Manager Automotive, in achieving and maintaining channel marketing budgets and marketing plans.

 • Interacts with Automotive Business Manager as required to deliver required channel business goals.

• Actively participate in all Marketing Team meetings.

• Attend and participate in Marketing updates to sales.

• Attend and participate in Marketing & Technical meetings.

• Attend and participate in Sales, Marketing & Production Meetings.

• Effectively communicate all relevant Marketing information and data to all key business managers and sales personnel in the business channel.

• Liaises and seeks the engagement of other departments for the implementation of key marketing initiatives.

• Communicate with Valvoline International divisions as required.

 

 

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)

 

  • A tertiary qualification with a marketing discipline

  • 1-2 years of Marketing Assistant experience, or in a similar role

  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative 

  • Great communication and organisation skills

  • Attention to detail 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • The ability to be computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
