Opportunity 

We are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager – Heavy Duty Franchised Dealers and Strategic Accounts to join our team and help expand our client base and market reach. 

 

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and developing strategies to expand our market presence. 

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Prospecting for new business across all facets of the Heavy-Duty Franchised Dealership and Strategic Accounts segment.
  • Strategic account management of allocated Heavy-Duty Franchised Dealership & Strategic Accounts.   
  • Meeting individual sales targets as per the Valvoline annual sale plan.    
  • Develop and implement account plans to increase share of account.
  • Assist in achieving State & National sales budgets. 
  • Be the subject matter expert and the go to person on all Heavy-Duty Franchised Dealership components within the Valvoline business.
  • Analyse performance metrics to continuously improve outreach effectiveness and lead generation activities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop tailored offerings that meet the specific needs of customers.

 

To be successful, you will have:

  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience within a relevant industry
  • Automotive or heavy-duty market experience preferred 
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of sales success and business development
  • Bid management experience will be highly regarded
  • Excellent business acumen and attention to detail
  • Great communication and organisation skills
  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative 
  • The ability to be computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, whilst not essential will be highly regarded
  • A valid driver’s licence
