Job Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team in Baulkham Hills.

How You Make an Impact 

  • Ensure debtors accounts are reconciled and that payments are allocated according to customer remittance advices in a timely manner to produce bank deposits and enable records to reconcile to the bank account.
  • Review debtor’s ledger with Senior Accounts Receivable Officer or National Credit Manager each month.
  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payments or other irregularities and then initiate and record collection efforts on the customers record along with referring on issues to sales staff AR Team Leader or National Credit Manager if required.
  • Maintain a collection process to continually improve aged debtors. Contact customers for payment of accounts by phone and in writing as required to reach collection target.
  • Maintain an ongoing review of customer credit limits and release held orders up to the customer’s credit limit when the account is within terms or refer held orders that exceed credit limits or terms to the National Credit Manager or Senior Accounts Receivable Officer for a decision to release if required.
  • Obtain credit reports and set up or maintain customer accounts as required each day recording the details into relevant the registers.
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries or issues raised by sales staff.
  • Transpose bank deposits from bank statement to banking EFT spreadsheet on allocated day each week.
  • Process credit card payments daily and at month end.
  • Accounts payable assistance when required.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable adhoc process improvement projects.
  • Perform Excel-based reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Liaise with customers’ accounts staff and refer disputed matters to the relevant state administration manager or general manager to enable amounts in dispute on the AR ledger to be resolved.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally.
  • Liaise with National Credit Manager regarding outstanding accounts and determine corrective action and follow up process.
  • Report to the National Credit Manager on monthly cash flows, including debtor and creditor positions.

 

 

What You Bring to the Role

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable, Credit or Collections role.
  • Qualification in Credit Management or Bachelor’s degree.
