Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Senior Business Analyst reporting directly to the Regional Director, Rest of Asia (ROA). This is a hybrid opportunity, 2 days remote per week. 

 

The Senior Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for the analysis and insight building to drive the performance and execution for assigned business. They will build a sustainable platform and processes for the business to build actionable insights to drive continuous improvement and good decision making. This role will be responsible for leveraging data driven models of consumer and category trends, as well as, competitive analysis to grow brand value and drive continued optimization and preference to our products. The role will be responsible for creating valuable linkage and functional discipline to understand marketing and product levers and maximize learnings to be leveraged across the business.

 

How You’ll Make An Impact

 

1. Manages weekly, monthly, and quarterly insights and analysis on business performance for assigned region.  Partners with commercial team in identifying opportunities (revenue, margin and cost) and lead moving those insights into action & regular monitoring with scorecards (30% of the time)

2. Develops KPIs and keep a track of OGSM measures and present a quarterly update to the leadership with key actions for stakeholders (30% of the time)

3. Provide accurate & timely data to the Regional Director for key decisions in critical projects (10% of the time)

4. Works with cross functional teams to drive execution of the identified projects, developing status reports at regular frequency and highlight concerns, if any for timely completion (10% of the time)

5. Aids development of a data-based approach for maximizing business value. Supports development of automated dashboards & scorecards for business decisions (10% of the time)

6. Identify inefficiencies in the regional processes and recommend solutions, while also monitor and implement process changes and assess their impact (10% of the time)

 

Primary Interactions - Internal and External

 

Primary interactions will be with the commercial teams (Sales & Marketing), Finance & Supply Chain teams. Limited interactions may be needed with Distributors or customers based on the project needs.

 

What You Will Need

 

  • Professional / Finance DegreeMBA preferred
  • 5-10 years in a similar role with good understanding of business, preferably from FMCG industry or consulting background

  • Penchant for working with and analyzing data

  • Ability to develop management reports with insights

  • Power BI, Advanced Excel, MS Office

  • String business acumen with an understanding of key business functions

  • In this role there is a travel expectancy of up to 30%
