Job Purpose
The Regional Marketing Manager, Digital & Communications, Rest of Asia (ROA) is responsible for leading digital, media, and brand communications across multiple markets in the ROA region, working in close partnership with country marketing managers. The role oversees above-the-line (ATL) marketing activities, including owned digital channels, paid media campaigns, content such as newsletters, and public relations, ensuring consistent and effective execution across markets.
Acting as the primary regional liaison between global digital and brand teams and local country marketing teams, this role is accountable for localizing and cascading global campaigns in a timely and market-relevant manner. The role also serves as the region-level lead for creative and media agencies, sharing ownership of ATL campaign execution with country marketing managers while ensuring strong governance, performance tracking, and ROI focus.
As a newly created position, the role plays a key part in driving a more consistent, performance-driven approach to digital and communications across the region, with a clear focus on strengthening brand awareness and customer preference.
This is a full-time role based in Bangkok, with a hybrid working model (2 days work from home). The position currently has one direct report and reports directly to the Regional Marketing Director.
How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with country marketing managers to plan, manage, and optimize owned digital and social channels across markets, strengthening day-to-day execution while respecting local market needs
- Lead paid media at the regional level, acting as the primary point of contact for media agencies and working with country teams to ensure strong campaign setup, continuous optimization, and clear ROI accountability
- Establish and manage regional CRM and communications channels, including newsletters and other platforms, to enable regular, relevant, and well-coordinated communication across markets
- Build and embed clear ways of working and best practices for digital, paid media, and communications, shifting the region toward more consistent, effective, and performance-driven execution
- Own consolidated regional content and campaign calendars, improving visibility, alignment, and planning discipline across global, regional, and local teams
- Lead regional communications and PR coordination, ensuring clear messaging, brand consistency, and market relevance
- Partner with the Global Brand Team to localize, cascade, and execute global campaigns in a timely and practical manner
- Manage agencies and one direct report to ensure delivery of digital and content plans, collaborate daily with local country marketing managers, and report clear performance updates and recommendations.
- Brand Governance & communications: become the go-to person for brand identity, onboarding and training agencies and customer marketing teams
- Lead the quarterly and annual marketing reviews for the digital & communications function, aligned to the business goals and strategy, in collaboration with country marketing
What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in digital marketing and marketing communications, including at least 4+ years in a regional role (APAC and/or Southeast Asia preferred).
- Experience leading in-house digital and communications for a global brand based in APAC is an advantage, or agency experience managing a regional remit.
- People management experience, with comfort leading and developing team members and working with remote, international teams across cultures and time zones.
- Demonstrated track record of leading regional brand communications, including always-on social, paid media, content planning, newsletters/CRM, and public relations.
- Strong writing and editing capability, with a clear ability to craft, refine, and localize communications for customers and end users.
- Deep familiarity with key APAC and Southeast Asia digital platforms (e.g. LINE, Zalo, TikTok, Shopee), and how they are used in market.
Competencies Desired
- Solid understanding of social and digital analytics, performance measurement, and reporting, with the ability to translate insights into action.
- Proven experience in agency selection, onboarding, and ongoing management across creative, media, and communications partners.
- Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed, multi-cultural organization, inspiring cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong project management skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English (written and verbal). Working knowledge of Thai is a plus.
- Experience within distribution, point-of-sale, or retail environments is an advantage.
